A view From Vagamon hills, Kerala

Vagamon is a well known tourist spot in Kerala, India. The green meadows, pine forest, suicide point and Thangal rock are the main attractions here. The comparatively low temperature and the cool climate also gives it a good reason to visit here. There are also good unexplored areas here like uluppuni. This photo was taken from vagamon hills and i got a jet aircraft in the frame. I just love the coulours and a kind of minimalism of the photo.
A recommended spot for the travellers :)

Kolukkumalai: an unforgettable ride

Have you ever been to kolukkumalai? I went  there on last monthwith tree of my friends and I got this shot. Kolukkumalai is a tea estate owned by Harrisson malayalam. It is situated in Suryanelli , Munnar. I was on my pulsar150 , which was in a good condition to ride those off road conditions. From suryanelli, the road is not in a good condition, which demands for a 4WD vehichle. It was a hell of  ride, we can call it a mini motocross, which floods adrenaline through one's blood.I fell down two times on the ride , but i saved myself without because the machine was in 1st or 2nd gear only. The majority of the visitors were hiring 4WD taxis though we came across few other riders too. But we were little late to see the sunrise from  top of the station because we had to stop several times to cover the 4km ride through dust and rocks. However I managed to click this wonderful shot. Actually the color of the sky is changing every seconds, like someone  keeps changing the hue of the sunrise. It was an unforgettable trip which gives me so many memories including this photo. The photo was captured in raw and later edited in LR and PS with topaz lab.

The Rainbow

Here is how I think about sky:

The God is the best artist, the sky is his canvas and he always paints.Only the lucky ones get the chance to view them.

I believe that it was my luck to get this shot. Because I was on the right time at the right place. There was so much cloud in one side of the sky and from the other side the abundance of sunlight was hitting me. My camera was on low speed continuous mode and I was keep clicking. I managed to click this shot and another HDR shot as well. It went well even if I missed to take my tripod along with the camera. After this shot I felt the need for a wide angle lens and assured myself that my next lens purchase will be that. I took 15 minutes to stay there and then it started to rain. The post processing was done in photoshop and thank to those who invented RAW format, which act like a digital negative. The EXIF is given below

"connected but isolated"

About this: I shot this 2-3 weeks back, on a casual walk with my new camera through our paddy fields. I got few other good shots also (I will upload them later), it was a very nice evening a lovely atmosphere and lighting. This is the dried flower of a plant which commonly found in our locality. The green background in the photo is the sugar cane field. I took this shot from 2-3 foot  above from the plant with my 18-55mm kit lens. I was not able to get the flower this much close without zooming. The focal length was around 44mm and the widest aperture I could set on this FL was just f/5. But it looks isolated from the background just because the sugar cane field was even beneath the plant, which grows on a mound. The white balance was set in Kelvin and it was around 6500K I think, I have made little changes on the WB when it imported from RAW to photoshop. I love this shot because of the good contrast and the point of view is very unique here from my other photos. Thank God for to the situations made to get this shot :) The EXIF is given below:

FL: 44mm on 18-55
shutter speed 1/1000s
ISO: 400
f stop: f/5

Mother Theresa: My Tribute

Mother Theresa: My Tribute

About this : I created this a few months back, as a tribute to Mother Theresa. The medium used was charcoal on hot press paper. I started to draw in charcoal around 2 years back, during my boring Delhi days. But I did not show any professional approach at that time. I used charcoal pencils on regular paper (The pencils were gifted by my uncle).
The first charcoal drawing was a self portrait of me.

Then I got more professional stuffs from strathmore and artmate from my sister. And this is my first professional approach to drawing. I believe that I did much better as my debut and hope that I can do even more in coming days.

I searched on google to find a rare photo of Mother, which should also be feasible to express in charcoal and I short listed a few ones. But when I came across this one on the internet, the mercy and the joy of mother's face had attracted me and I decided to draw this one. But it is very difficult to see when someone frame your artwork without any care and respect even if you pay more than the standard, So net time I decided to do the framing myself  I feel very happy and blessed when I see this on my wall everyday. Thank God for helped me to finish this as it is.The working details are given below:

medium :charcoal on paper
time: ~ 30hrs
paper : Strathmore Artist Papers 300 series
charcoal : artmate vine charcoal n camlin charcoal pencils

That's why it is known as the "Golden Hour"

That's why its is known as the "Golden Hour"

About this photo: It was taken in my CANON 70D, which was i bought recently. The lens used was just the 18-55mm canon kit lens. I was just having fun with my camera just after the sunset and I was about to finish my shoot. Then i saw this beautiful dragon fly which was sitting on a "tulasi" (Ocimum tenuiflorum ) . It was well lit by the evening sunlight and I took few shots with different settings, and finally took this one. I feel lucky to get this shot even the focus is little off, which is a normal thing when we take close ups or macros in kit lens. The exif data is given below
FL: 38mm
f stop : f/5.6
shutter speed : 1/125 sec.
ISO : 1600
